Public Works Projects
The Public Works Department is a multifaceted and diverse organization within the city's overall structure. It handles multiple services provided to the citizens of Panama City and manages multiple capital and maintenance projects. Public Works provides services in the critical areas of building and electrical maintenance, traffic signals, signs and markings maintenance, street and drainage maintenance and solid waste pick up.
Administrative Offices
The administrative offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The phone number is 850-691-4553. All maintenance divisions of Public Works are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. After 5:00 p.m., weekends and holidays, or for emergencies call the police dispatcher at 850-872-3112.

Engineering
The City Engineering Department provides a variety of services relating to the construction and design of the city's capital projects as well as the review of stormwater design for developments within the city limits.

Maintenance Division
The Maintenance / Street Division is responsible for maintaining the flow of water through ditches receiving stormwater runoff from city maintained streets.
