Bay Medical Center
Bay Medical Sacred Heart (BMSH) is the only Level II trauma center between Pensacola and Tallahassee.
Although the hospital incurred damage from Hurricane Michael, BMSH provided uninterrupted emergency services during and after the storm. Inpatient services resumed in the beginning of 2019 with 75 beds, 8 operating rooms, 5 cardiac cath labs, with a focus on heart and surgical services, including robotic surgery.
BMSH is the only hospital in the Panama City area offering comprehensive cardiac care including open heart surgery. The medical team offers board-certified cardiologists, as well as cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons.
BMSH provides 24/7 emergency services in two locations: the main hospital campus at 615 Bonita Avenue, and the Beach Emergency Room (ER) at 11111 Panama City Beach Parkway. The Beach ER location also offers outpatient therapy and diagnostic services.
Serving patients in a seven-county area, Bay Medical Sacred Heart is nationally accredited as a Heart Attack and Stroke Center of Excellence and is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC).
