[ARCHIVED] Holiday Closures and Garbage Collection Changes

The offices of the City of Panama City will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 24th and 25th in observance of Christmas as well as on Tuesday, January 1st for News Year’s Day.


The City’s Solid Waste Division will not collect garbage and trash on Tuesday, December 25th and Tuesday, January 1st; therefore, collection routes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be delayed one day.

For the weeks of December 23rd and 30th:

•    Regular Monday routes will not be affected

•    Regular Tuesday routes will be collected Wednesday

•    Regular Wednesday routes will be collected Thursday

•    Regular Thursday and Friday routes will be collected Friday

In addition, the City will be running a collection truck to pick up extra boxes and Christmas Trees. Christmas related items must be placed in separate piles from Hurricane Michael debris.

Crowder Gulf, the City’s debris collection contractor, will NOT be picking up debris between Saturday, December 22nd and Wednesday, January 2nd to allow its employees to travel home for the holidays.
