[ARCHIVED] Community Kick-off Meeting for Long Term Recovery Planning Set for May 6th

Panama City FB Event Header Option 2

The City of Panama City is working with Hagerty Consulting, HR&A Advisors, Dover-Kohl & Partners and Kglobal to create a Long Term Recovery Plan for storm recovery, redevelopment, renewal of public spaces and a path to economic innovation.

For the planning project to be successful, it should reflect the input of the community members. Therefore, your participation in the project is vital to understanding the community’s priorities for recovery, current needs, and expectations for the future of the City. This eight-month planning process will include multiple opportunities for involvement through workshops, focus groups, meetings, and charrettes to develop the four deliverable that seek to increase the resilience of the City.

Join the planning team at the kick-off event on Monday, May 6th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to learn about the upcoming design charrette, and share your ideas for the future of the City, including recovery activities, economic vitality and the strategic vision for downtown and its waterfront! The meeting will be held at the Panama City Center for the Arts, located at 19 E. 4th Street.

Hagerty Consulting specializes in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery across the country; HR&A Advisors specializes in real estate, economic development, and program design and implementation; Dover-Kohl & Partners specializes in revitalizing traditional towns, building great new places, growing neighborhoods, and fixing sprawl by design; and Kglobal specializes in communications, public relations, and public affairs.
