City Commission adopts FY23 Budget and lowers millage rate

The City Commission of the City of Panama City has adopted the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget and a millage rate of 4.7999 mils, which represents a decrease in the millage rate from the previous year. The Commission also approved the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget for the Downtown Improvement Board (DIB) and a millage rate of 3.0000 mils.

The Final Budget Hearing for the City of Panama City will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 5:01 p.m. The City Commission set the tentative millage rate for Fiscal Year 2023 at 4.7999 mils, which represents a decrease in the millage rate from the previous year.

The regular City Commission Meeting will be held earlier in the day at 8 a.m. Both meetings will be held at the Bay County Government Center, located at 840 W. 11th Street.

The City Commission will hold a Tentative Budget Hearing for Fiscal Year 2023 on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 5:01 p.m. A public hearing for utility rates will also be held at this time.

The City Commission will hold the Final Budget Hearing for Fiscal Year 2023 on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 5:01 p.m.

All hearings will be held at the Bay County Government Center, located at 840 W. 11th Street.
